BASIC FIRST AID - LEVEL 1

An employer shall take reasonable steps that are necessary under the circumstances, to ensure that persons at work receive prompt first aid treatment in case of injury or emergency.
 
Safety Training Association has strategically joined ventures with a DOL approved training institution to conduct this course. The institute conducting the training and certifying the learners is approved for the SAQA unit standard by SETA and has further accreditation with the Department of Labour (DOL) under GSR 3(4)
 

COURSE CONTENTS – FIRST AID L1

  • Principles of First Aid and Safety.
  • Artificial Respiration.
  • One-Rescuer CPR.
  • Choking.
  • Wounds & Bleeding.
  • Shock, Unconsciousness and Fainting.
  • Fractures.
  • Burns.
  • Head and Spinal Injuries.
DURATION
2 or 3 days (18hours)
