SUPERVISOR TRAINING

Safety Training Association (STA) provides an in-depth five day Health and Safety Supervisor Course. As stated under section 82i of the OHS Act no. 85 of 1993, it is a mandatory requirement that supervisors are acquainted workplace hazards and ensure effective control measures are implemented before employees engage with work to ensure health and safety is maintained in an organisation. Supervisors are seen as a representation of the employer, they are functionally appointed to assist the CEO with duties he is charged with as required in section 16 1 of the OHS Act no. 85 of 1993. Liability for employees is also the responsibility of the supervisors’ to comply with.
